#CelebratingMiraMaodus, six celebrations around the world
#CelebratingMiraMaodus is an international event celebrating Mira Maodus on her 80th birthday. This French abstract painter of Serbian-Russian origin lives and works in Belgrade, Paris and Tokyo. Museums, public or private galleries in France, Italy, Serbia, Bosnia, Canada and Japan will dedicate solo exhibitions in order to thank her for her contribution to the history of contemporary art.
Belgrade devoted to Mira the solo exhibition “From Graphos to logos” at the Gallery RTS (Radio Television Serbe) in February.
Paris participates with a solo exhibition entitled 'Voyage au bout des couleurs' from May 19th to May 26th 2022, at the Gallery du Commune de Paris, Mairie du 7ème, in the presence of the District Mayor Madame Rachida Dati.
The historical city of Trebinje in Bosnia Herzegovina will present a solo exhibition to Mira Maodus at Trebinje Kultural Center from August 16th to August 30th, in collaboration with Galerija 73 (Belgrade).
From October 20th to November 20th 2022, Italy dedicates a retrospective exhibition to Mira Maodus entitled “Mira Maodus, le fil rouge de Montparnasse” under the patronage of the Region of Tuscany. The exhibition will take place at the Museo Civico "Giovanni Fattori" in Livorno, Amedeo Modigliani's birthplace.
From October 16th to October 30th 2022, in Japan, the 884 Art Gallery in Tokyo is holding an exhibition in honour of Mira. The Canadian Alba Avis Gallery in Toronto is devoting a solo exhibition to her at the end of 2022.
These exhibitions celebrate the talent of this artist whose paintings are in the permanent collections of the National Museum in Belgrade (Serbia), the Myagi Art Museum in Sendai (Japan), the Museum of Modern Art Banja Luka (Bosnia) and the Museum of Herzegovina, Trebinje (Herzegovina).
